There are two modes Win Non-win Winning requires winning the match AND 100 wp minium. If you don't reach 100 WP it counts a non-win despite winning. oh nice. i wish that had been clarified BEFORE the event started. most of the teams i was on today were randoms, against squads. so i just AFKed or quit, because the info about the event lead me to believe that if you had 0 WPs the match didnt count. well theres an event wasted because of poor communication. |

It was. Someone decided to interpret the rules their own way. There was nothing in the rules saying that 'we won't count matches that have less than 100 wp." really? we going to play this game now?
Quote:FAQ
If I play more than the minimum number of matches, which ones are counted for the event?
Only the win/loss rate of the week's first 30, 40 and 50 matches in which you earn at least 100 war points during the event will be considered for the purpose of qualifying for the event rewards.
looks like it says the win/LOSS rate is only considered when you get 100 WPs. i interpreted the rules the way they were explained by the dev post. |

jingle wingle wrote:Wow, so much hostility in this thread. well the dev post said one thing, i trusted the dev post as correct. i was then told that it was my fault for reading the dev post wrong and given an answer that didnt match what the dev said. communication has been a very frustrating subject around here. |

Just to confirm with you, battles that you earn 100 War Points or less do not count to the win/loss ratio. If you have any further issues, or questions regarding DUST 514, please do not hesitate to contact us again.

it just seems like no one communicates. CPM contradicts dev post, claims to have gotten the answers from the right people, GM then explains the original answer is right.
everyone wants the CPM and devs to start communicating with us more, but i think we would also like everyone on the same page. have you guys ever heard of memos? office email? |

Hey guys, let's not alienate the few people who are actually communicating with CCP. Alienating? Explain yourself...It seems like Seymor Krelborn is 100% correct in his statement.... This thread (and a second one) was bumped by me on purpose while IWS was active on the forums but it just seems to be another post-and-ignore-later-comments-CCP-style-thread. We're used to it now, but spreading misinformation is a no-go some of us just want to set it straight (and give a hint about how bad their communcation is). I don't feel that CPM needs to communicate with us on these issues and stuff, it's the job of CCP to do that. CPM should be too busy voicing the concerns,.... of the community to CCP. Sure they can communicate with us, but leave CCPs communication to CCP (hopefully they will learn one day)...what else is CPM going to say beside copy/paste from CCP, vague timelines or "we're under NDA"? My apologies. What I meant was that we shouldn't be backing members of CPM into a corner. Just because we're probably in the right (CCP Shanghai is known for changing the rules midway through an event, and there's been contradictions from them on this absurdly small event, take a second look at the GM response I received) doesn't justify our abrasiveness. it wouldnt be an issue if the rules were clear from the start. but IWS contradicted the Dev Blog, somewhat insulted my reading comprehension skills, and was then set straight by a GM. did this help? of course not, he was still posting the same crap the next day. when novaknife posted the letter that all the CPMs worked on about better communication, i was happy. thats what we need. looks like it was filled with the usual emptiness we are accustomed to getting at this point though. nothing has changed, communication is still lackluster, and IWS is still full of ****. save us CCP Wolfman, you're our only hope... |
